Compiled by antique dealers Deon Viljoen and Piér Rabe this 119 page book with 89 colour plates is a treasure of Cape Furniture from the period 1720-1920, and metalware from 1850-1950. It was produced as a catalogue in February 2001 to accompany an Exhibition held in Cape Town.

The book includes a magnificent selection of Cape metalware, brass and copper showing the various maker’s marks, the works of Cape coppersmiths, Frederik Nicolaas van As, Charles Matthews, Josiah Duffet, Joseph Lawton and others.
